21 days to Rock eviction!

We had an awesome graduation party for Jamie along with his good friend Jon on May 13.  My parents surprised us by flying in from Tucson and my youngest brother Jon made the trip all the way from Copenhagen, Denmark.  Sue and J along with my Uncle Jim, Aunt Marilyn and Cousin Stephanie also were on hand for the celebration.  Thanks so much for coming – you made a special day for Jamie over the top good.

It was also nice to have Mom, Dad and Jon around when we told the kids about the Rock.  The kids took it in stride.  I was impressed when Jamie was able to relate my condition to what he had learned in his anatomy class at school.  (Chalk one up for public education!)  Will was pretty quiet and Taylor was really curious.  Our approach with the kids was to be 100% honest and upfront with them about what was going on – we were glad we waited until everything was determined and scheduled so we could give them specifics.

Will is getting four wisdom teeth out next week and Jamie is working as much as he can at Dahls before he starts classes at the University of Iowa in August.

Kim is holding us all together – she is the best friend, wife and mom!  Thanks Kim – I love you.

We are gearing up for a quick trip to Sioux Falls to watch Taylor run, swim and bike in triathlon on June 19.  She is really practicing hard – she has been swimming in the Raccoon River for the last couple of weeks – talk about cold.

I have learned so much about Rocks over the past 4 weeks.

Some of my best information has come from books and websites:

Thanks for all the prayers and support – we are all doing well.
